Horrible company. Just a money grab. It is nearly impossible to get help. It is all about money. This company takes every chance to take money. They do not help anyone. They have a maze of automated phone service. Than when you do get to a person. Most of them do not speak english. Courts need a 30 day clean report. They make you install a decice with gps and camera. It showes when you blow. Where you blow. Yet their device does not work propperly. They do not have people you can talk to on the phone. First and foremost, I strongly advise against doing business with Smart Start. I repeat—do not use this company. They will quote you one price, but you can expect to pay double, if not triple, by the end of the process. Secondly, the location I dealt with was in Bellevue, WA completely unprofessional. Brianna rescheduled my appointment last minute, claiming she was leaving early—even though I had already arranged time off work to be there. Ive never used their service. I just want them to take me off their calling list. They can't be reached here. Huge menu to get through on the phone just to have nobody answer. One of the most un-responsive companies I've ever encountered.

On January 2, 2026, my vehicle was damaged during installation of a Smart Start ignition interlock device at Alignment & Brake Specialists, 2502 Stan Schluester Loop, Killeen, Texas. The installation lasted approximately five hours. Immediately upon return of my vehicle, my turn signals, hazard lights, and multiple electrical functions failed.
