I’m sitting in the parking lot of the smart and final wanting to share the kindest experiences I’ve witnessed. There’s a gentleman laying slat on the floor at the front of the entrance and the manager is talking to him. He’s not yelling at him to get him to move, he’s not treating him like an animal shooooing him away. He’s talking to him, listening to him, offering options, encouraging him to contact his family. Not that smart to shop here, their name should have been Smart and Disposal, often find their items not cheap, yet near expiration, compared to other main grocery chains.
Great store, but customer service can use some work. First guy I talked to here wouldn’t make eye contact with me and seemed incredibly bothered by the fact that I even stopped to ask a question. Like not even trying to hide it. Looked like a member of management too. I don’t usually post reviews like this, but that was a lot for a question that took him less than 5 seconds to answer.
