Slot and Wing is a wonderful hobby shop. In August 2025, an amateur videographer made a walk-through video of the store, and on the shelf was a motorcycle kit that I could not find anywhere else in the world. I called that morning, and Mike and Austin worked with me to get this kit shipped to my home 250 miles away. Wow! These guys are as passionate about model kits as they were in the early 1980's. This is a rare store indeed!
Decent archery range but the staffs not very helpful or considerate and their selection of products is very limited. The string wax they sold me was heavily used lol. Strikes me as more of a hang out spot than a real bow shop, I think the “slot and wing” portion is prioritized over “hunters haven” so if rc cars are your thing maybe it’s a better experience.
Always have great experiences at Hunter’s Haven! When I started bow hunting, Cole was patient, helpful and informative. He took the time to teach a novice like myself and worked with me through countless mistakes. Whether it’s a major bow purchase, replacing strings, helping me adjust sights in the range, or even just advice, these guys are the best!
Honest experience at the shop was awesome. The guy I talked to was very welcoming however after just a few short months later, the strings and cables I had replaced are shot. Mainly just the cables and the nock serving. The bottom cable started to fray after just a few weeks. I let it go not thinking it was a big deal until today. I took my bow to another pro shop to see if they could sort my peep twist out. They then told me the cable on the bottom is shot. It has a break in the string.
