I feel like she did a horrible job with communication. I was on the Court Calendar for 2 years and was not notified. My Child support order is still pending after 3 years. I have been asking her to withdraw as my lawyer and she still has not done it yet. I would not recommend her as a family lawyer to anyone. Her name is tarnished in the Macon area with other Lawyers as a joke!
Unfortunately the service I received was not the best and ultimately resulted in me having to release her as my attorney. I paid my retainer in advance as requested and work was not done in a timely fashion and I was not informed of the updates regarding my case. I had to call Ms Skinner numerous times to get a response. I have decided to work with the opposing party outside of court due to the stress of working with Ms Skinner.
Margarett was great and handled my case very well. She worked with me and helped me get I deserved. Definitely recommend!
Skinner took my money and claimed I used up my fees in emails. However, she would not respond to my phone calls and althoughI stopped by her office many tines, she was never in. She is not professional and calls clients names like stupid!
Ms Skinner has started working on my case as of 2/13.. I filed for divorce and paid up front. During that time I put the divorce on hold hoping things with my husband would work things out, but unfortunately they did not. I contacted Ms Skinner again asking what I needed to do to to start the process again. She informed me the divorce was already paid for so all I needed to pay was the 250.00 refilling fee and picked it back up from there.
