CHECK THE TIRES and REFUSE UPGRADES - Sixt did not have the car I reserved and "upgraded" me to a luxury suv that had nails in the tire. Unfortunately the tire light didn't come in until I had pulled out of the rental. Their customer service person on the phone told me to take it to a tire repair and bring in receipts and I would be reimbursed. I got downgraded and no compensation
STAY AWAY!!! Sixt started using an AI scanner for damages on their vehicles at select locations. The system is seriously flawed and can pick up old scratches/dents not previously logged with an AI scanner. Sixt is simply passing the repair costs unto unsuspecting customers when their vehicles go through an IA scanner. If you get the full suite of insurance coverage you might be okay. DON"T RENT FROM SIXT! They gave me a rental car that was reported stolen and I was pulled over. Then they made it impossible for me to have the car exchanged. STAY AWAY!
