I am writing this review to warn others about my terrible experience with Sixt Rental Car. I rented a vehicle from them, returned it in good condition, and months later, I was blindsided by a fraudulent claim for damages I did not cause. Sixt claimed I owed $805 for alleged damage to the vehicle. However, their evidence is riddled with inconsistencies and outright falsehoods, now I hear from a credit collections company that they are reporting over $900 in debt to the credit bureaus. Charged $608 for a 2 3 inch marks that are normal wear and tear which did not happen occur my rental. They stated the scratch went down to the primer which is untrue. This company does not respond, they do not a have an efficient way to dispute. They are basically a legal scam. T
Rented a car for a month in Chicago and returned to Ft Lauderdale. Ft Lauderdale added a $400 smoking charge even though I never smoked in my life or in the car. When I questioned it they sent me a picture of a leaf in the trunk that was in the trunk when I picked it up in Chicago and another of some dirt/dust on the console. Rented a Tahoe was told they couldn’t rent it to use do to age of sec driver gave us a Buick enclave at the same price half the suv that ran out of oil had to buy oil to get it to next location then a month after get a bill for 1 $3 toll that now cost $20.40
DON'T RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! My aging parents were scammed. They rented from this company, were upgraded to BMW for free, had a flat tire on a BMW run flat tire in rural NC. The service shop couldn't fix the run flat so they had to wait 2 days and b/c of the nature of the car tires, had to buy 4 NEW TIRES. They called SixT to get approval before they bought new tires which SixT gave them approval to buy the new tires.
