Worst car rental experience, bar none - genuinely think this place may be a scam. My cousin and I have a collective $900+ in fees because they charged us each multiple times incorrectly, with additional charges coming in “accidentally” 3+ days later and the temporary holds not coming off cards. Originally booked via Booking, paid all but second driver fee and toll bridge fee ahead of time. This has been an awful experience. I dropped my car off on Wednesday and asked to switch cards for payment. I didn't want it on my credit card, and they promised it would be no issue. It should've been a 45 extra payment as my cousin had already prepaid for the service, but instead, they charged the entire amount. They assured me that it would fall off one of the accounts, but instead, they held it on my credit card, my debit card, and my cousin's debit card. Pick up was fast, and great car service
When I rented a car for a family vacation, SIXT gave me a defective car which had a bad transmission and left me stranded on the road in Beacon Hill for 5 hours at night. When I called their customer service line, they transferred me to their roadside service line. And when I got connected to their roadside service line, they told me to contact customer service. Then after 2 more back and forth telephone transfers over the course of an hour, they told me to wait and that a tow was on its way free of charge with a replacement... read more
