Enormous line.
I initially gave SIXT 5 stars because the pickup and return process was quick and easy. However, about four days after returning the car, they attempted to hold me responsible for pre-existing damage. Fortunately, I had taken photos at pickup showing the scratches and damage already present. While they eventually dropped the claim and I wasn’t charged, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Given the condition of the car at pickup and the hassle that followed, I’m downgrading my rating to 2 stars.
Easy in and out within minutes.
I gave this rating because the entire rental experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a Platinum member. On the day of pickup, I completed online check-in and was shown an upgraded vehicle (BMW X5) in the app, which I selected and confirmed. However, after payment, the system automatically reverted the selection back to a BMW 5 Series without any action on my part.
