I was the person who made the reservation, and this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. SIXT refused to give me the vehicle because they claimed my driver’s license was expired. My license expired that same day, and we were picking up the car at around 8:00 AM. We asked if another licensed driver could pick up the vehicle instead, but they told us we had to make a brand-new reservation online. I witnessed one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever seen at SIXT. I was there when my family went to pick up their rental car. The employee claimed the driver’s license was “expired,” even though it expired that same day. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT. This has been the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. We had a reservation under someone whose driver’s license was supposedly “expired.” The problem? I recently leased an X2 for a two-week period while in New York City. The vehicle was brand new. The shuttle service to and from LaGuardia Airport was excellent. I will definitely consider renting from this location again.
