6 Wickets came recommended and what a great recommendation. The views and tour were amazing, but the wines are superb and worth the trip. The tasting provided education and interaction about each of the wines. Quality and worth the visit and bottles cheers.
My wife and I visited Six Wickets Winery in Myersville, MD with another couple and had an amazing experience. Kathy gave us a fantastic tour of the vineyard—she explained the history of the winery, the different types of grapes, and how the vines are cared for. We fully enjoyed our wine tasting experience with Kathy. Each and every wine we tasted was high-quality, unique, and equally delicious. Kathy made us feel welcome and encouraged doing the tasting outside despite cloudy weather, and we were really glad she did. The beauty of the vineyard, as well as the story of its creation and ongoing growth, further added to the thorough enjoyment of our Six Wicket visit.
Ed and Kathy gave us a wonderful private tour of the vineyard. We also enjoyed their company during our tasting of their beautiful wines. It’s clear they take pride in the wines they produce and the results speak for themselves. We left with some new varietals to enjoy at home and can’t wait to visit them again soon! Thank you!!
I had an amazing visit at Six Wicket Vineyards. The hosts are wonderful and share their deep knowledge about growing grapes and making wines. I learned that their wines are exclusively made of locally grown grapes, no short cuts here! (It is noteworthy that not all Maryland wines are exclusively made of grapes grown in Maryland.) During my visit, I did not only enjoy the amazing view and discover the great wines, but I was also initiated to the game of croquet! Loved it!
