I went here about a month ago and am still thinking about how insensitive this practitioner was. Unqualified for talk therapy yet insisted that we do so prior to the session and it was a disaster- avoid avoid avoid.
I adore Six Persimmons Apothecary! It's a tiny shop with so much to offer. Besides carrying all the herbal remedies my whole family uses to stay healthy—Cold Nip, Supreme Immune Tonic, and Kids Immune Tonic (which we're never without during the winter months)—it also offers homeopathic remedies by and consultations with Kathy Thorpe, a homeopath trained in the classical tradition, whose remedies have helped our family over the years. Amazing ‼️
Six Persimmons is one of those places where you really feel judged by your skin color. I remember one time when I was going in there with my African American friend, and they assumed her was there to clean the floors. Even when we left, they started to make monkey sounds and throw the garbage at him. I joined in on the fun but I regretted it later. It was really fun though like super fun.
