Bought a meat pie at Richmond Country Farms it was good and we liked it!
I just ate their steak pie and it was delicious. Got it from the Steveston farmers market near the highway.
I love these pies, both savory and fruit! I was surprised to see all the negative reviews. I buy them from country grocer and have had only super positive experiences. Our family truly enjoy these pies and view them as a special treat. They are more expensive but I think the quality matches the price. Factoring the time it would take me to make the equivalent and cost of ingredients I think it's a deal. The pies I've had have not skimped on quality ingredients. Purchased for a Special gathering. Very shocked and disappointed when we opened the pumpkin pie. Embarrassing! It was burnt black all around the edge of the entire pie & very dry. Wish I could attach the photo of box & pie.
Modified palm/kernel/canola margarine (too cheap to use real butter eh?) Canola , palm oil and modified palm oil too?? Calcium proportionate, modified corn starch too? And wait for it...... hydrolyzed corn/soy protein.....what an absolute JOKE of a company pretending to made "home made goodness" you should be ashamed.....this is GMO and full of modified ingredients.... you can sure taste it ! Everyone be warned these are the companies pretending to be on our side while quietly poisoning us...........shame.
