I highly recommend Mike Simmrin. Mike is a highly competent attorney. He told up front what to expect, how long he anticipated the case would run, and an estimate of the fees. He kept his word completely. He is a man of high integrity. He never once asked for a dime until the case resolved (Dismissed!!!) and his fees were within the range we discussed. He rocks!

My wife was admitted to a psychiatric hospital on a Thursday Morning on a 5150 hold. From that point on I was nothing but stressed out wandering what was going to happen next. Poor experience. Terrible communication. Unresponsive lawyer. Michael did nothing for over a week and a half ignoring my calls after being hired. It wasn’t until after I fired him and got money back from Amex that he finally texted me acting like it’s my fault that he hasn’t heard from me. Bad move.

I cannot praise enough the compassion and efficiency I encountered immediately upon my first contact with Michael Simmrin. We reached out to him for help getting a family member discharged from a 5150/5250 hold situation. Under the 5150 hold, our relative was placed in a psychiatric facility that mostly houses homeless individuals and drug addicts, even former inmates, and is in the habit of extending their holds while securing more permanent solutions for them.
