I was told when I called to dispute a overdraft charge, that I could not go by my balance that is shown on my online Simmons acct. Manager also told me she would wave my overdraft charge this time only if I drop protection on my acct. She was very rude. I don't receive statements anymore because I have my acct online, but I can't go by what it says my balance is?? Really?? I have been with this bank since it was Metropolitan, which was a Great bank.
Simmons is constantly scamming customers out of money with junk fees, their customer support agents need to be sent back to kindergarten, and the Benton branch is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. I'm closing my accounts and moving to Arvest.
This past June, my son tried to open a business account at Simmons Bank, Benton, Arkansas branch. He was told they didn't have time to help him that day and to go to another branch. He immediately went to the Simmons Bank, Bryant, Arkansas, branch where his account was opened in a matter of minutes. Today my elderly husband and I waited several minutes to be called to the teller window at the Simmons Benton branch. This was while the older teller was obviously training a new teller.
