I changed banks several years ago because my prior bank of many yrs. was so bad it’s crazy. Since changing to Simmons yrs. back I have had many dealings with the bank branch representatives and the main phone customer service dept. I have never once had a negative experience with Simmons. Before writing this review I saw several bad reviews done on Simmons in the Yellow Pages app. That is what prompted me to do a review. Would give - stars if possible. Business loan officer RUDE! They screw up then want to be ugly to the consumer. Have never been treated worse ( from loan officer all the way to bank president) especially by an institution that wants to use my money. I'm not a landmark anymore and never will be again
Shanda at the Gainesville, Tx bank has been very very courteous and helpful and guided me through every step of the way of setting up a new account and what to do next. I'm having a hard time on my own.
Love this bank and the employees! VERY convenient...just a walk across the street from our business (Blount County Eye Center). GREAT bank to do business with. Highly recommend!!
If you just want a bank that will take deposits and checks, Simmons-Joplin might be ok. But if you want a bank that will communicate with you when there is a problem or be proactive and explain things rather than just dismiss any problem you might be having with a response like " Not my job" then Simmons is not for you. I am so glad to be done with these people even though it cost me money that I don't feel I should have had to pay just so I never have to deal with them again. THIS BANK IS THE WORST BANK EVER. THE TELLERS SUCK THERE. I AM SO GLAD I DON'T BANK WITH SIMMONS BANK. IF I HAD I WOULD HAD PULLED MY MONEY OUT AND LEFT. I WENT IN TRYING TO SEE FOOTAGE OF CAMERAS THAT HAD A PERSON USING MY MOMS DEBIT CARD, AND THEY WOULD NOT LET ME NOR MY MOTHER VEIW THE FOOTAGE. The biggest issue with this bank is that they don't offer purchase protection for your debit card. They say they do and Visa says they do, but in reality they don't. I submitted three disputes over the course of a year. They ignored the first, only partially refunded the second, and now they are refusing to accept the dispute at all - even though the company in question blatantly and fraudulently charged my card without my permission. Very poor customer service, I've banked with them for nearly twenty years and whenever I need to deposit a check I get questioned and looked at suspiciously. Its a hastle to change banks but I'm going to.
