This place is a joke! Management is terrible. The food is horrible. And they do not provide the housekeeping as promised to the residents.
My grandmother resides at this location and it should be a crime the way the manager runs this facility. She refuses to handle issues and maintenance problems. One of her friends has had to have several skin grafts on her foot due to a tub drain being on incorrectly and cutting her foot. The manager Wendy, said it was the ladies fault who was injured because she is diabetic and shouldn't eat junk. Wendy is to ignorant to realize people here her! She has no business in her position.
I live at silver elm because it’s the right place for me. My apartment is roomy, on the ground floor, and I have a door to the outside, and my own patio. I have no intention of ever leaving this facility. But, it is not the utopia I read in the previously posted reviews. This facility has problems and concerns, just like any other facility of this kind. These are probably the same problems. Absenteeism is one issue. I am so impressed with this facility! Nestled in the hearr of everything necessary for functioning daily. Beautiful surroundings, clean, friendly, welcoming and certainly above average for senior living.
My family and I couldn’t be happier with the care our loved one has received at Silver Elm. From day one, the staff has been warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in every resident’s well-being. The facility is spotless, beautifully maintained, and feels more like a welcoming home than some institution. Plus, my children absolutely loved trick or treating during Halloween at "Grandma's House!"
