Dr. Rainey was so thorough and patient. I have seen numerous people for my TMJ issues, which have worsened over the past few years. Dr. Rainey really listened and was willing to try a variety of different treatments. I have seen an improvement in my symptoms and have a couple of new strategies to use at home! I highly recommend Rainey Pain and Performance. They were also able to correctly diagnose and treat a neck/back issue I was having a few years ago.
I was referred to Dr. Rainey by my dentist after biting down on a really hard jaw breaker type antacid on the left side of my jaw. It caused great pain on the right side of my jaw and cheek, so that I could hardly open my mouth. Dr. Rainey performed both hands-on and "needling" therapy, and gave me exercises to do to get the TMJ under control. I am fully recovered now--no pain and I can open my mouth all the way again. I was referred to Dr Rainey by my dentist. Dr Rainey saw me right away and really listen to what I was experiencing. He was very thorough in his exam. The follow up appointment was helpful with exercises to help me now and in the future.
I have had tmj/migraines issues for over 10 years. Dr. Rainey was very patient in listening to my problems and coming up with exercises I could easily do at home. We also started dry needling which has almost completely stopped my headaches all together. Dr. Rainey has dramatically improved my daily living.
I have an old TMJ injury that gives me problems and Dr. Rainey helped alleviate my pain and gave me some exercises to do so I could avoid problems in the future. He’s super knowledgeable and easy to work with and genuinely cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with TMJ problems and/or headaches.
