Don’t let the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan fool you. This was the worst experience I ever saw in how the staff neglected the residents in the memory care facility. The staff doesn’t care about the residents and the management doesn’t do anything to get more help. My father walked into the facility with his walker and due to their neglect he was in a wheelchair and needed a hoyer lift within 3 months. My Mom came to this place after a surgery for rehab . Unfortunately they didn't follow protocol when checking her In. She was neglected because she was more then they can handle . Her condition got worse . We had to transport her to a Milw Hospital where they discovered my mom had a stage 3 bedsore that turned to stage 4 . My mom passed a few months later from complications of the bedsore . This could have been prevented if the rehab center actually did a full evaluation.
