Easily the best spot downtown for coffee. They have consistently delicious pop-up food stands outside if you want to dine (South of the South Smokehouse is amazing), really fun events (the folks at the open mic nights are freaky talented) and just genuinely good energy from the employees and patrons alike. Close your eyes, imagine your coffee-bar-vintage shop dreamland, and then walk into Sidecar. There you have it.

The absolute second my partner and I walked in the door, the brown-haired employee behind the counter literally glared and frowned at me. The blonde-haired employee kept side-eyeing us as we browsed. Neither of them greeted us or said a word. I thought about buying a little tchotchke but was too put-off by the weird vibes. I may or may not give it a second shot in the future, and will edit my review if that experience is any different.
