The real deal I went out with a friend looking for a food adventure, and found it at The Shores Restaurant. Admittedly, it's more pub than restaurant--not the kind of place I'd take a date. However, I know Southern food very well, and this place serves the real thing. The catfish was cooked perfectly. I recommend the hot sauce over the tartar to compliment the catfish. The Shores Restaurant I took advantage of the great reviews I've seen on the net lately for the Shores Restaurant and took a dear friend there for lunch today. I used to go there back in the 70's when they had the best prime rib dinners in the history of that area. I see now that it has changed its venue to Southern Cooking and I really wanted to go here today after spending about 6 years in Chattanooga, Huntsville and Atlanta in the mid 60's. Great Date Night This is a great Date Night restaurant. The food is excellent and upscale, the service is good and the atmosphere is very quiet. Get a window seat the view is great.
