I've been going to Shoppers Corner for 43 years. High prices, but good products, and, until today, very freindly service 99% of the time. I bought my boning knife on the recommendation of one of the freindly butchers. I have asked before, because I never see brisket in the meat display, if I got a packer brisket from Costco still in the cryo bag if I could pay them to separate the point and flat for me. I am a part time resident of Capitola and haven’t been in for over 30 years!!! The butcher department is one of the BEST I have ever purchased from. The butcher picked my rib eye steak which barbecued perfect! Then the blue cheese hamburger patty caught my eye. I just made the best burger I have ever had!!!!! As I was leaving I looked at the wine selection… that’s my next trip!!!!
Amazing store — I’ve been shopping here for over 20 years. Unfortunately, there seems to cliquiness among some of the baggers. They tend to help only certain cashiers they’re friendly with, while others are left on their own. Myself and several other shoppers bagged our own groceries while several baggers stood around chatting with cashiers instead of helping customers. Hopefully management addresses the issue. Other staff are great.
I love many of the old market shelves and of how all your items and products are designed to set up to be viewed in all the store lighting beautiful. And I am loving the Coffee bean supply and I'll be back on 7/2 for some serious Cat & Cloud resupply
Although we have have been in Santa Cruz for a few months, this week it was the first time that I visited Shopper's Corner. Amazing place, I only went for meat because their butcher shop has a great reputation. It used the opportunity to browse, the meat shop is great with very nice cuts and great selections, next time I will buy the lamb. They have produce and everything else, all looks great and the wine selection is excellent. Since it is a short bike ride I will go more often. Prices are reasonable!
