Shop Girl was inspired by my Depression-era mom who taught my siblings and me at a young age how to contribute to the family and others, to be entrepreneurial, to repurpose, to reuse and to recycle. Very little went into the waste stream. We also were taught to help others — most people did in a farming community. These ladies are always welcoming & helpful. Their items are not just junk from someone's basement but quality items... often they can tell you who made/sold it & a little history. One of my favorite places to shop,
