it is not surprise they are going out of business I bought a couch from them and one of the cushions was upgraded so they provided the other two upgraded cushions which was great but then the middle cushion was too small so they said that they would order the middle cushion. They said it would take up to 4 weeks to get it. So after 4 weeks I called and the woman said that it would take up to 4 weeks to get it. Community Store Shock's Furniture is a great store with exceptional customer service. My salesperson, ann, came out to my house and helped me design my entire great room! I can't believe that someone would compare Shock's to Costco as Shock's is a family run business that is involved in many fundraisers for our community. Al You better like what you purchase at this store. All sales are finale. If you buy it its yours or pay 20% return fee. Unlike most stores that you shop at Shocks they will not let you return merchandise. If you purchase something at Costco there is no questions asked. Lowes 30 day quarantee if you dont like it return it. Shocks you buy it you cannot return it. Even if its within 24 hours.
Buyers BEWARE!!! I was pleased with the curtesy of the staff at Shocks until I had a problem with the furniture I purchased. First, I was promised the couches I ordered would be delivered within 6 weeks, when in actuality they arrived after 10 weeks without a even a phone call from Shocks to explain the delay. Second, the day after the couches arrived my daughter noticed a metal stick protruding from the couch that cut her leg every time she sat down. A gem of a furniture store What a wonderful store. I had already decided on the La zy boy sofa and recliner that I wanted. I called a few stores. Shock's was wonderful. They gave me all the information I needed over the phone. They were more than willing to match the price of the La zy boy furniture gallery but best of all they really appreciated my business.
