Nice people, bad at taxes. My families 2022 taxes were misreported by Ship Away Tax Services costing us upwards of $15k in interest and penalties. I called shipaway to see if they would take a shred of responsibility, as the fault is mostly mine for hiring the wrong tax preparers, I left a message hoping for professionalism. Even tax prep fee refund would've been appreciated. Ship Away never got back to me. I have no confidence in their service or their will to make good on errors.
My mother and her partner filed their taxes with Shipway Tax Services for years and they seemed to be happy with the service. So, imagine my surprise when Shipway never returned any of my calls after my mother passed so that I could file her taxes.
