I had no idea this place existed! Met a descendent of the Shinn family and had a lovely convo. Definately going back for a historical home tour.
I visited Shinn Historical Park and Arboretum recently and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. It's a quiet place with beautiful trees, gardens, and open spaces that make it easy to slow down and take a relaxing walk. The grounds are well maintained, and I liked learning a little about the history of the property while exploring. There were plenty of shaded areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings, and it never felt crowded during my visit.
