My wife spent time here as she lived close by during her childhood. We stopped in for a date shake that I’ve only heard about for 17 years and I finally got one. As good as she always said they were! She was in nostalgia heaven. She said even the theater smelled the same as it did 30 years ago. The young gal that served us was awesome. We stopped in on our way home to northern Arizona after taking our daughter to the BlackPink concert in LA. Best Dates shake ever! Must try!
Beautiful short walk on a trail behind the cafe/gift shop. Keep in mind you can get gifts there, as well as their famous date shakes! Friendly customer service. Restaurant closed until end of August, must be a summer thing. The trail is best in the morning (opens at 9am) in the summer, as it does get hot. Totally worth it! A citrus and date grove, with some water features and a pond. Jesus's life told in statues through the walk also, it's subtle so still visit here even if that's not your thing.
