If you are looking for an assisted living facility, I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff are so kind and caring, the food is made from scratch, and the shared spaces are clean and well kept. It's very affordable and they also work with the state to get financial assistance for anyone who doesn't have the funds to pay privately or once someone runs out of their savings. Shepherds Inn has great energy, fun & well-attended activities, smiling & supportive employees, and residents who seem truly connected. It may not be the most modern setting at first glance but, from another experience nearby, we learned that fancy finishes don’t make a place enjoyable to live. Shepherds Inn stands out for what actually matters day to day. I definitely recommend visiting if you are considering assisted living.
Next Level Senior Living recently took over this site and wow what a wonderful place. I have seen a lot of assisted living centers in a lot of states across the country, and this is one of the warmest, most homelike environment I have come across.
One of the most depressing places my husband and I toured. Out dated. Rooms were so small. Everything happens in the central room. Not much much room to maneuver. It smelled horribly like fish. Lacked privacy and dignity options for residents. The views were horrible…an abandoned daycare yard with tires. The person was nice. State of MN reports had us concerned.
It’s my fist day shadowing a coworker and EVERYONE there is so friendly and helping! It’s really family oriented. Everyone helps out when needed. I miss being in healthcare and being back makes me passionate about caring for others. I love hearing their stories and making sure they have a smile on their faces with every help and service they get. Shepherds Inn is the BEST place I have ever worked in.
