Had a decent experience last year but it was terrible this year. Our tax situation drastically changed from getting a refund to owing 12k for 2018. There was no indication or warning that 2018 would be different and when asked about it, there was no effort made to explain or apologize. The answer was it is the way it is. I paid for a consultant who can answer questions and help me with the tax process - not just enter data into the system to generate automated forms.
