First night my father was there his catheter was clogged. The nurse said she didn’t know how to unclog it or flush. They left him lay in a pee soaked bed, a soaked gown until morning when dayshift came on and this happened starting at 10 o’clock the night before. Waited 15 to 20 minutes a couple nights later he was having chest pain so bad they administered three nitros and did not send him out to the hospital because he was confused and said he didn’t wanna go but they just let him lay in bed. If you have a family member that cannot communicate with you or has Alzheimer’s ; DO NOT send your family member here!!! They will not be cared for and will let them suffer until they are dying or die there. My uncle is at Mercy dying of sepsis. He went to Shawnee for a stroke a few months ago and now is being sent to hospice! I’m disgusted and will be reporting this awful place to the STATE tomorrow. The personnel here are incredibly compassionate and kind. This place has a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. It's a really pleasant facility.
