After a stroke, and 6 months at the UHA, my Mom moved into memory care on the third floor at Shasta Care at the end of 203. Despite the stress of moving,band living in boxes for two weeks 🥺, the staff were very accommodating. Last year Shasta Care was sold to Sienna Living. Most things are the same, as far as activities go, but there are small concerns. Many of these residents in memory care are incontinent. It comes with strokes. Horrible and no communication. My father was placed here for almost 2 months before he passed. His pillow cases weren't cleaned properly. They let him sleep on food, kitchen was always loud with banging pots and was never enjoyable. After he passed within a week of us having his stuff moved out a new tenant had moved in. We have not received the damage deposits or remander of Dec 2025's rent. They double dip and never reply back to you, ignore your calls and hope you'll give up. My mother-in-law lived there for 2 years and received excellent care. She passed away at the end of March 2025, a few days before Sienna Senior Living purchased the facility. Two months later, Sienna has still not refunded my mother-in-law's damage deposit of over $2200.00 to her estate. Lots of excuses and false promises. Incompetence or intensional?
