I strongly recommend that clients think twice before paying for an "initial consultation." Before the meeting, I emailed the firm a detailed 5-page summary of my VCAT matter so they could understand the case in advance. I then drove over an hour to their office and arrived on time, yet the meeting started about 15 minutes late. During the consultation, I did not receive any legal advice.
