I had a brief interaction with Shanika in the past as she did a birthday shoot for me before and I followed her page, when I found out I was pregnant I remembered she became a doula and reached out! Shanika is amazing doula! She help me with any questions I had along the way, always checked in on me and made sure I was comfortable, advocated for me when it was hard for me to do so myself, gave me lactation support and so much more! I had my fiancé and sister with me as well and she was a big help in showing them how to support me, if she wouldn’t have been there I don’t think I would have had the birth I wanted but because she was my birth went better than I could have imagined. Shanika is an awesome doula! She prepared me for my second birth beyond expectations! She came over for home visits before giving birth to talk through our birth plan and the different options I had! Along with learning what positions I would like to use during labor. Once labor hit I felt very prepared. She is an amazing advocate and made sure my wishes were meet. Shanika is a very knowledgeable and passionate doula. She loves what she does and it shows :)

A sense of peace is what Shanika brings! She shares her knowledge in a way that doesn't overwhelm you and will leave you feeling like you now can make the best informed choice. Shanika will be an added advocate and immense help through it all. She is always ready to encourage you and knows how and when to step in. I was so blessed to have her by my side through this pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum!

So many days and hours and the hospital Shanika ‘s support and doula service was present at the right time. Her advocating for me and family when we were so tired and emotionally overwhelmed.
