I do not recommend Shane for portraits. Our experience may have been a fluke—given the great reviews and portfolio. But if so, I recommend setting clear expectations for direction and communication. Shane took portraits of my family and we were deeply disappointed with the process and results. The photos were stiff and unflattering. Shane is an incredibly talented photographer and was wonderful to work with throughout our wedding process. He was organized, communicative, and engaged throughout the planning process and he made our day even more special by being a calming, kind, and fun presence throughout the reception. Before getting engaged, I always admired Shane's photos on social media and I knew I wanted him to take my now husband and I's wedding photos. Shane is a natural and so talented when it comes to taking photos. We love how easy he made it feel to be in front of the camera and how he could be so creative with the poses and backgrounds. We got back some amazing photos for our sneak peak and we cannot wait to see how the others turned out!
Shane was such a pleasure to work with. He was so nice, my pictures were detailed and beautiful and captured everything perfectly! He was quick to respond, and even gave me some ideas of his own that I loved. I’m so happy to have worked with Shane and have all my big day moments pictured so beautifully!
