I visited Shafi Halal Meat to ask whether the meat was halal, as I am new to the area. Instead of answering directly, the owner asked about my nationality. When I said I am from Pakistan, he laughed and asked, “Where is it?” He then mentioned that he is from Afghanistan and came to Canada in 2007. The interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. As a customer, I expected a simple and professional response, not behavior that made me feel unwelcome.
Great place for all types of meats. Very clean and reasonably priced.
