We had a very simple case with a hands down victory and all we needed was legal representation because my wife and I don't know our way around the legal system. We hired Alicia because 1: she was affordable and 2: she "appeared" to be competent and 3: she was willing to take our case. All three of those became completely untrue. I spent days writing a 9 page descriptive letter stating every detail of our case and gave it to Alicia, along with explaining in great detail all the pertinent info. She showed up to our mediation clueless. Her hands were literally shaking & she was stuttering over her words because she hadn't prepared and knew almost nothing about our case. Everything she needed to know about it she learned at the mediation!! She was insanely incompetent.. The court was holding over $5,000 of our rent money and the landlord we were counter suing held our $2,200 deposit. At the mediation Alicia learned the details of our case and she realized she needed to make an amendment to it and therefore push back the actual trial (which was scheduled just a couple days after the mediation). She told us several times she would amend the case to add that we are also suing for our deposit money back. Our case was at 10am on a Tuesday morning but we were told by Alicia (SEVERAL TIMES) to wait to hear from her about the new date. At 10:30am that Tuesday I got a text from Alicia asking where we were because we were suppose to be in court. SHE NEVER AMMENDED & PUSHED THE DATE!!!! We missed the trial and still won the case (as I mentioned it was an easy win but we just needed legal representation) but since we weren't there to represent ourselves the judge awarded us NONE of our $ back and our wicked deceitful landlord walked away with over $7,000 of our $. We told her to schedule an appeal/rehearing and fix this and make up for her negligent behavior. She scheduled the rehearing and then quit the case!! Turns out Alicia is very incompetent, extremely expensive since we lost $7,000 and paid her $1,000 to do it, and all she was willing to take was our $ and not our case. I've never witnessed such a lack of professionalism. Hire Alicia to turn your legal situation into a financial & negligent nightmare... research her reviews elsewhere to see several other similar reviews.
