I have been in a handful of times and each time I have felt like a nuisance even stepping into the store. I've never gotten any assistance without going out of my way to ask for some and even then it seems like they really don't want to help me. I was laughed at about a question about whether they stock hand quilting supplies and was told "we don't support hand quilting because we want to sell machines" and "don't you just need a needle and thread?". I have traveled all over the country and have visited many nice quilt shops. Sew-ciety is by far the best offering great fabric, patterns, notions, and machine embroidery supplies. They have a lot of quilts and projects on display for inspiration. They have traditional and modern fabrics and patterns. They have the best selection of machine embroidery supplies and machines.
