when my husband's memory started slipping, i was terrified. serene gardens walked us through everything and never made me feel rushed or judged. his room is comfortable, the nurses check on him regularly, and i finally feel like he's safe.

My mother has been at Serene Gardens for eight months now, and the difference in her quality of life is remarkable. The staff remembers her preferences, the meals are actually delicious, and she's made real friends in the dining room. We couldn't ask for better care.

visited my dad last Tuesday and caught him playing cards with three residents and a staff member named Marcus. The whole place felt alive, not clinical. Dad says he's sleeping better than he has in years.

In general, Serene Gardens of Imlay City is a nice, clean, friendly, and attentive place for a loved one. This is a smaller community, so it feels more like home than bigger communities in the area. The staff is easy to work with if I have any questions or concerns about my loved one. My loved one can get help with bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, and other things at Serene Gardens of Imlay City. Memory Care is a locked unit, and the staff does a great job of watching over the residents and the doors.

I would recommend Serene Gardens of Imlay City to others for their loved ones. This appears to be a newer community. The food is really good here. The community is accommodating to the residents and family's requests. The staff were okay to work with if the family had questions or concerns about our loved one. The activities were basic and performed within the community. There is no transportation to take residents shopping or to doctor appointments.
