This isn’t your mother’s senior center. We go on hikes, snowshoe, bowling and bird watching. There are exercise programs set to fun music from the ‘60s and ‘70s, of course. Yoga is a spiritual experience for the body. Bridge, mah-jongg and bingo keep us alert and social. Oh, and the food is great. Regular programs are offered about health and aging issues. Help is available for challenging technology, taxes and Medicare information. It’s a fun place to hang with friends!
First off there are not enough stars. The staff with Allie at the helm is the best. Yes the food is good!! but it also provides a space to gather after lunch and connect with others and network with others and much more. SWOT is an amazing asset to our comunity. Thxs Team
We are so fortunate to have this organization in Teton Valley. Monday thru Friday lunches for all ages provided by Peter and the daily volunteers never disappoint. And so affordable especially for those over 60. So many activities to sign up for or some only require you to show up. There are active games of Bridge and Mah Jong on certain days of the week, coffee and knitting dates, photography club, field trips to surrounding areas and so much more. Lots of opportunities to volunteer, get local discounts, have lunch with tho... read more
Moved to Teton Valley about a year and a half ago, and the Senior Center has been one of the highlights of our new valley home! The lunches are great, but their programming is even better. I've been to the Death Cafe, played mahjong, and attended some great programs geared toward aging well and mental health. The best part is the people I've met there. Everyone is so friendly, fun, and incredibly young. It doesn't seem like a typical senior center ;)
