Awful...AWEFUL. This place is more about looks than patient, care or SAFETY. This place is understaffed and the staff that is there doesn't have the proper training. There is NO OVERSEEING RN AT THIS FACILITY. The employees giving out medications don't know what the medications are much less what the reactions could be. Staff isn't trained for emergency situations. The staff will overmedicate patients so they are quiet and sleepy. Terrible place. Should be shut down!!
Terrible facility. I would NEVER have any of my family members live here. Staff members call in sick whenever they please. Because they are understaffed, the employees that where on the shift prior to the person that called in, they HAVE to stay. Yes you read right HAVE to stay so if they worked an 8 hour shift and someone calls in they have tostay and work 12-14 hours..I do believe that's against the law!! Incredible home and staff. Both of my Grandparents were able to spend their last years together here. It was priceless to them and our entire family and such a joy to see their spirits and health actually improve in their first week there. My kids enjoyed going on the event days and still ask when we can go back. (Carnival days, live bands/orchestras and even snow trucked in before Christmas!) I would never put someone I love in this facility. The administrator is always on trips rather than doing her job. 1. There is never a consistent, valuable schedule. If the schedule was actually placed any caregiver can cross themselves out, or "no call, no show", "no show", or "call off". Several other employees would text while in the bathroom with residents, instead of assisting. Many caregivers are not properly trained to use equipment properly, (such as a Sara Lift). I highly recommend Magnolia and Primrose Care facilities. I have known several people who have stayed there. Whenever I visited I could see the degree of care was excellent. The clients are taken care of physically, mentally and spiritually. A wonderful family owns both facilities. I wouldn’t hesitate to place a family member here.
