The Senior Center is working very hard to be available and provide support, laughter, light exercise and social connections for members. They loan equipment to anyone who needs it. Regardless of age. The seniors of Atascadero need this facility. It is run by volunteers. They receive no support or financial help from the city or county. It’s a great place for donations of any size.
The Atascadero Senior Center is a welcoming place with plenty of activities. I feel a strong sense of community when I am there.
There’s a lot to do here! Every day seems to offer something different - from Tai Chi a few days a week, to games (like dominoes, Bunco and cribbage), to talks about nutrition, health & safety, and other general topics. You can pick up a new book to read or a puzzle to assemble. They also host various Arts & Crafts as well as movie time. A good place to socialize, make a new friend, or just get out of the house.
It’s wonderful to see the Center embrace technology and modernize. If you haven’t checked it out in the last couple of years, you’ll be pleased at all the activities and changes. All volunteer run with only donations for support. Join. $20 a year is money well spent.
I have been attending events at the ASC for the past 12 years. They keep adding more opportunities for socializing and activities. It's a great place to meet other seniors and keep informed about our community.
