We have been coming to Seminole Brighton for over 4 years and drive an hour and a half to get there. We loved the old casino - loved Josiah restaurant - and always had fairly good luck there. However, the new casino is very disappointing! The restaurant's menu is very pricey and twice we didn't get what we ordered plus the chili was cold! This is Okeechobee - not Miami and the prices are way too high. Your take-out service took a hit for sure. There was only one waitress serving drinks on the floor. I so wanted to give the new casino a 5 star, but could not. The choice of slot machines was disappointing. I was hoping to see the more popular slots like the Hard Rock casinos have, but it fell short. Furthermore, the machines were tight and many 88 cents and up - winning only .02 to .10 . I did enjoy the lunch though; a little short of staff which I'm sure will change for the better. The Women's Restrooms didn't have a hangar for a purse - had to set it on the floor (not sanitary or safe). Overall, after a long wait... read more
