Security Bank has been my personal bank as well as the bank for our firm for many years now. I am very pleased with the way they take care of us and we love having a "small town bank" experience as opposed to dealing with large publicly traded banks where you never know who you are going to get on the phone. I love being able to call Kevin and get answers directly. I wouldn't bank anywhere else.
Too bad there is no lower rating. I had a check payable to me, drawn on Security Bank. I attempted to cash the check and Tyler Miller, assistant vice president, said they would not honor the amount of the check, they would keep $20 as a fee. That is not right, their customer wanted me to have the full amount and not honoring the amount of the check is dishonest and bad service to their customer.
