I received a parking ticket in the mail despite never have even been to Seattle, and when I finally got ahold of somebody here (after multiple days of trying to get somebody to pick up the phone, waiting for over an hour) they told me it was for a completely different make and model of car, and found out the meter officer miswrote the license plate #. Horrible service. Tried to request a court hearing for my ticket. Mailed it at the post office right next door. The Post office (1-2 blocks away) person at the counter says I’ll make sure to stamp it as the Court has been having issues with their mail. Gross negligence. They then proceed to lose this piece of mail. I have called probably have a dozen times. Gotten nowhere. People working here are zero help and seem to relish in screwing you over. Came by to drop off papers and the staff was helpful and friendly, no wait. However, the security guy (Jason) was very rude, no 'hello' and was quite off-putting with his comment. I just mentioned the other court house had me put my papers, watch, and belt in the tray, so I was confused. But, I guess he assumed I was being defiant.
Even 1 star is too much for this place. I called them about the hearing notice questions. First call attempt, the representative seemed very rude and indifferent to help out. The lady didn't seem to understand the question and hung up. Second time I called, a different representative answered and also didn't understand the question and seemed like they didn't even know what they are dealing with and about the process. They now use surveillance camera to ticket you for barely blocking a crosswalk during rush hours of the terrible city traffic. Moreover, the address they provided for you to pay the fine is not deliverable by USPS! This forces you to pay online which includes a 5% fee. Totally corrupted court that punishes the middle class.
