I have great concern for the resident i visited today. The person I visited was in the bathroom and pulled the help cord twice for assistance. Assistance never came. I had to walk a very short distance to find a staff worker on the cell phone in hand. That person finally assisted. This took place during a non-busy afternoon time. Residents have also mentioned about this same type of care and posted exact complaint. I have expressed to my love ones never to take me here. My sister has been there in long term care for for about 3 months. Overall I am happy with the care. The facility is clean and bright. Staff are friendly and kind. She is always dressed and room is neat. She is taken to the bathroom regularly and her skin is in good condition . They have several activities daily. The rehabilitation facility was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns about its communication and professionalism. The patient was given a specific discharge date and made plans based on that information. Without adequate explanation, the discharge date was suddenly changed, requiring the patient to remain an additional two nights. My mother has been a resident at Seal Rock for 2 years and has received wonderful care.
I was a resident for about one week last year. Right off the bat, I needed to use the bathroom but the (helper or whatever she was wouldn't allow me to do that and left me on a bed pan and left me there for what seemed to be ages. I was shaking so bad and distraught. I managed to call my husband who called the facility and a few people came in to help me (including the one who left me there.
