My sister has been there in long term care for for about 3 months. Overall I am happy with the care. The facility is clean and bright. Staff are friendly and kind. She is always dressed and room is neat. She is taken to the bathroom regularly and her skin is in good condition . They have several activities daily. The rehabilitation facility was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns about its communication and professionalism. The patient was given a specific discharge date and made plans based on that information. Without adequate explanation, the discharge date was suddenly changed, requiring the patient to remain an additional two nights. My mother has been a resident at Seal Rock for 2 years and has received wonderful care.
I was a resident for about one week last year. Right off the bat, I needed to use the bathroom but the (helper or whatever she was wouldn't allow me to do that and left me on a bed pan and left me there for what seemed to be ages. I was shaking so bad and distraught. I managed to call my husband who called the facility and a few people came in to help me (including the one who left me there. During my Mom's 8 month stay at Seal Rock, I was very happy with her care there. The staff for the most part, is attentive and caring... I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones care.
