SDC did a great job completing the move of a 20 foot container of our furniture and household items from San Mateo, California to Shenzhen, China last week. We are so happy that we have asked them to submit a proposal to move a similar amount to Galicia, Spain for our daughter. Timothy of SDC very quickly structured the move. My wife and I decided to retire in location CA after living in location FL for thirty years. We had a lot of memories in our house, and we wanted to take our favorite things with us. James was very patient with us and helped us decide what size container we needed. The packing team was very respectful of our home, and they worked very quietly. Moving at our age is not easy, but this company took away a lot of the stress.

My biggest worry during my move was my grandmother’s upright piano. It is very old and very heavy. I called a few movers, but SDC seemed the most experienced with instruments. They sent a special crew to handle the piano, and they used heavy blankets and thick padding. I watched them load it onto the truck, and they were very careful with the corners. When the piano arrived at my new house in location CA, it was still in tune. They did an amazing job.

I did not have enough stuff for a full container, so I was looking for a company that does consolidation. I moved from location FL to location CA, and I only had about twenty boxes and a bike. Seven told me I could share a container with other people to keep the cost down. This was exactly what I needed. The communication was very clear, and I always knew where my things were located. Even though my shipment was small, they treated me like a priority customer. I would definitely recommend them.

I have a collection of old paintings and a few antiques that are very fragile. I was terrified of sending them overseas, but SDC offered custom wood crating. The crew built the crates right in my driveway to make sure the art was safe. I could tell they had done this many times before because they were very precise. My collection arrived at my new home without a single crack or scratch. I am so glad I spent the money on professional packing. It was worth it.
