Specialties Scrimshanders keeps alive the American folkart of scrimshaw, engraving on ivory. Resident scrimshander, Gary Kiracofe demonstrates this unique art every Friday at 2:00 pm during season. More than 30 American craftsmen are represented at the Scrimshanders, including wood carvers, goldsmiths, potters and basket weavers. Gary and Dawn also hunt for ivory antiques which Gary restores and then resells. .
