Not a mean guy but is apathetic as a lawyer. I got a bad deal from the judge: he could care less. A different lawyer had gotten the charges entirely dismissed: he could care less. He confused my current charge with an earlier more serious charge in a memo to the judge: I told him, and he made a correction. That's all. At the end of the day, he could care less about me as a client.
He did a fair amount of work, but the quality wasn't always acceptable. In a memo he wrote for my judge he confused my current charge with a previous much more serious charge. Luckily I read his memo and caught his mistake. He had no clue. I told him another lawyer had got me a better deal: basically he shrugged his shoulders.
I had the pleasure of retaining Scott Mitchell for my divorce case. Divorces are not easy for anyone, but given his experience and his demeanor I always felt like I was working with someone who had my best interest. Honesty and being above-board is the cornerstone of his character, and that is something admirable in this profession. Furthermore, he always responded to emails quickly, and his office staff were just as helpful. I can’t thank them enough for the ways they helped in my case. This is a law firm you can trust.
Patty the paralegal is great, was so helpful and took her time to help me thoroughly. Reasonably low price and helpful staff...they even allowed me to make payment arrangements which was great... the only thing I didn't like in my experience was I just talked to my attorney one time briefly.
Scott has helped me through a drawn out custody battle, varied accusations and divorce. He and his office have helped me go from having all my rights stripped to now having joint 50/50 custody of my daughter. He has helped through the tough times and the good times. Very helpful advice. Please listen to it and consider it. Going through these proceedings please do not expect immediate results. It takes time...unfortunately. It took 10+ months to finally be reunited with my daughter.
