In a word, awesome! I just finished a 5 day workshop in Olympic National Park with Scott Kranz and Stephen Matera - it was great! Scott and Steve took a group with a diverse range of experience through the basics up to advanced composition and mid-trip photo reviews and editing. We didn't have the traditional best light at sunrise and sunset during the trip, but we developed great shooting opportunities in alpine, rain forest and coastal settings. This field photography workshop in the North Cascades was an experience I will remember for a lifetime, combining world class photography instruction from a true professional within a magical landscape that was hard to leave at the end of the trip. As a hands on learner, I felt my understanding and experience in landscape/nature photography improve overnight thanks to Scott's instruction and ability to test and learn on the fly.
