Do not trust this liar. The first time I encountered Martin Scott was when I hired him to be my closing attorney. When I called his office I would never get a call back. When I called Friday afternoon before I was supposed to close on Monday, his secretary explained that he is still working on good title but he was out of the office for the day without ever even saying that the closing would be delayed. Disappointed that my aunt endured such a poor experience. She was unfamiliar with navigating the probate process after her mother passed away, and was simply trying to understand her next steps. Instead of being respectfully informed of the retainer costs, an extremely unnecessary comment was made about whether she knew she had to pay the attorney. That remark felt condescending during an already difficult time. I hope future clients have a different experience from Whiteville’s finest.
