I visited this branch to request printed copies of my last three months’ statements. Despite inserting my debit card and entering my password, the teller insisted on seeing additional ID and began questioning why I needed the statements. I was treated with complete disregard and spoken to in a condescending manner. I have been a loyal customer of Scotiabank for nearly 13 years. I've never encountered anything like this before. I've worked with three different financial advisers, all of whom were excellent—until now. Sunil Rana and the manager at the Scotiabank Saddletown branch have been the absolute worst. I submitted my documents for a remortgage on March 5, 2025, and I'm honestly baffled as to why Sunil didn’t start working on my file until March 19. It's really helpful that two locations in the northeast close to the airport that are always busy are either closed or don't offer teller services on weekends. It's very convenient. I would way rather drive an extra 10 minutes and wait in an even longer lineup at thw branch that does offer that. For a company that steals so much money, you'd figure you could open your branch like other banks that care about their customers.
