We made an appointment with Gerard S Wickramasinghe at this branch to open a Business account. Really amazing and wonderful Service from him, he is best of the best , highly recommended to deal with this branch especially with Gerard. I was particularly impressed with his ability to multi-task and his breadth of knowledge regarding our needs. Gerard was extremely professional, helpful and efficient. Apparently, as of July 2025, Scotiabank refuses to handle any cash transactions for non-Scotiabank clients. This includes something as simple as handing them cash and asking for rolls of coins in return. This is already an absurd policy, but you’d think that if you bank with Tangerine, a subsidiary of Scotiabank, you’d be able to conduct such a basic transaction. I mean, why wouldn’t you be able to? They only have 1 person at the kiosk so expect to wait 40+ minutes.
